Baby "J"

Ahhh...baby "J".  What a sweet little guy.  His eyes are so captivating I could have just gazed in his eyes the whole time that he was at the studio.  Baby "J" was also a very content little guy and was happy to be looking around and seeing the new sights.  Ya know, just taking it all in and not having a care in the world.

I have to tell you that he has one of the best laughs I have heard from a four month old.  His laugh reminds me of the commercial with the baby sitting in the highchair and the dog is barking in the back and the little baby was just a laughing every time the dog barked.  His laugh was amazing, so I loved it when his mama was tickling his thighs and under his arms.  It was AWESOME!



My Sweet Valentines

Today I took my children in the studio to do a mini valentine shoot.  Seems my kids are the last ones to be photographed, but I need to get Valentine Cards made up so they have something to hand out to their classmates.  For once, they weren't photographed at the last minute...haha!! 

I love these two images of my kiddos, but I will choose different images for their school valentine cards, just cause.  Well, I am sure they wouldn't want to see my son shirtless, but I on the other hand love his shirtless
valentines :)  My daughter loves to pose listening to Lady Gaga or Avril Lavigne.  You can see the sass in this pose :)  So, here are my favorite images from their session.

I also designed these two wallet templates that they will use for their school valentine handouts.

Sweet Lil' "J"

Sweet Lil' "J" came to visit me yesterday.  She was having her seven month portraits taken.  She wasn't quite sitting at six months so we waited a little bit until she could sit.  She did very well, but she sure made us all work hard on getting her to smile.  She was a little stingy with those smiles, but we definitely captured the ones she did give us. 
Lil' "J" also discovered she has a tooth that came in.  She was thrusting her little tongue out quite a bit to feel the new tooth that poked through.  It was so stinkin' cute...she made me giggle :)

Sweet Little Valentine

Here is Little Miss "R" who came in for her Valentine Mini Session yesterday.  Little Miss "R" is so sweet and so full of energy (I wish I had all that energy).  So, everytime I photograph this little girl I have to give her candy to get her to stay in front of my lights so I can photograph her (I am sure her mama loves me afterwards...haha).  She moves very quick, so the sweethearts came out right away :)  Gotta love bribing with candy...lol.  But, I can tell you this, Little Miss "R" sure makes a "sweet little valentine"!! 



Miss "M" Pretty In Pink

I just photographed this little six month old girl, Miss "M", and because it is close to Valentines I had to put her in some pink.  She is so "pretty in pink", and especially with those blue eyes :)
Miss "M" sat pretty good for most of her session, but I also did some images of her on her belly to give her a rest from sitting.  Towards the end, she was just done sitting.  She would wobble from side to side and I would giggle inside.  She reminded me of the Weeble-Wobbles...I use to love playing with weeble-wobbles when I was just a child.  :)

Random Desk Images

Every now and then I think it is fun to take images of what is on or near my work station.  Yesterday I was drinking a Dr. Thunder, which I think is the best imitation of Dr. Pepper, and set it near my keyboard.  Well, I thought it would be fun to wipe the dust off of my 50 mm 1.8 lens and play with the shallow depth of field.  So, I shot both the Dr.Thunder soda can and the keyboard at ISO 160, F1.8 @ 125
Things I do when I get bored or need a little creative time.
